Hope everyone gets everything they want from Santa this year! For those living outside of Maine, winter has settled in pretty good here! We have a fresh 5 inches or so of snow from yesterday and the temperature was in the single digits this morning! We are supposed to get a Nor-easter Sunday night/Monday. We should take advantage of this site that Laura has worked so hard on to say "Hi!" to each other! Hope all have a fun New Year and look forward to hearing from some classmates in 2009!

Hi Jim, Glad to hear you're enjoying the site. I think some of the 300+ view counts are in part due to spambots cruising the message boards and posting their porn and viagra posts. I had to do some major clean up here recently, and had to require approval before new members can post. As if we don't get enough spam in our inbox, they have to be polluting our message boards with it, too! I've had fun scanning in those old photos. I hope classmates come across more and share them. It's fun getting glimpses of past and remembering good times. Laura

Very nice job, Laura! Got a smile out of looking at some of the new Skyway pictures you posted that I've never seen before. And, from the 300+ views on some of the entries, I'd say there's a lot more viewers than there are posts! Had to struggle to identify some of the Pine St photos... and I'm sure would not recognize some classmates today, if I walked by them! Thanks for keeping our site current and running, I see some of the other class sites have expired or have no features like this one! Look forward to reading some of the updates for everyone. Imagine, Jean has a son old enough to have his own construction company... some of us are already grandparents... Pete Buckley is a country singer called "Buck Edwards" (I've heard him sing!)... a guy named Barack Hussein Obama has been elected President of the United States... Dave Eager is a lawyer... and Devon has flown President Clinton around!!! Whodda thunk!

Hi Jean! Thanks for the update on you and Andrea. It's nice to catch up a bit with both of you! I just added some new photos to the photo galleries and Andrea is in a couple of them. Check out the new Skyway Middle School album at http://www.northern-pine.com/1982/photos/thumbnails.php?album=11 when you get a chance. Debbie Bell let me borrow some of her old photos to scan and they brought back some fun memories! I am in the process of redoing the photos on the reunion site, to make larger versions available now that dial up Internet is almost a thing of the past! I'm also planning to redo the class registry so that classmates can come back and update their info in an automated way. Once I get the galleries and the registry ready, I'll send an email out to as many classmates as possible so they can come view new photos and update their info.

Hi Jean, this Mark Michaud I see from reading your comments that you have been very blessed with your family of three sons and you have been very busy with your alternative school for kids with challenging behaviors I would imagine that your hands are very full and very rewarding at the same time, keep up the great work. It nice to hear that you have been involved with our other class-mate Andrea Saucer it has been along time since I have spoken to either of you, it sounds like Andrea is doing great also. I wish the best for the both of you, and your families. For my self I have been happily married for 25 years to a great lady and have two sons one of them is in colleague at Maine maritime academy for power engineering and the other is a sophomore in Fort Fairfield High School. I have to tell you I got a great surprise the other day my wife and I went to the Caribou movie theater to see a movie and sitting in the next row in front of us was Devin and is wife and kids it was nice to talk to them, he showed me some pics of him flying President Clinton and some of his other clients. Well my e-mail is ( spidermn222@yahoo.com) if you or any of our classmates waits to drop me an e-mail, it would be nice to hear from all of our classmates. Mark Michaud

Hey there Jean, nice to see a new comment on this site. I check it every once in awhile. Good for you on starting an alternative school. In the past I worked in child psych and school nursing so am familiar with the challenges kids face these days. And I thought life was tough when I was in high school. Am sorry to hear of another classmates death, too young for that. So what's up with Devon, is he still a pilot? Best of luck with your school.

Hello to all of you.
I am actually in Florida with Andrea Saucer as I am typing this. She and I have remained very close all these years, even with the 2000 mile difference. Things have been very busy for both of us. The condensed version is.....
Andrea's son, Alex just placed 3rd in the world as a pairs roller skater. He performed in Sydney, Australia and did an amazing job. Andrea's daughter Morgan is a beautiful little girl who is now in second grade. Andrea is working as an RN and has a great home in the Sarasota area.
I created an alternative school for kids with challenging behaviors in Vermont. I have been creating various programs for years now, and love what I do. My oldest son, Gregg (25 in June!), has his own business in construction in New York. Jordan, just turned 19 and is playing basketball in college in the Boston area. My youngest, Ashlyn, is 16 and is doing a great deal of Shakespeare, and is my world traveler. She went to Italy two years ago, and is going to Japan in June. She speaks three languages, and is looking to enter med school upon graduation.
I was sad to hear the Robin Simmons passed away leaving four boys. I hope people are extending themselves to her family.
I hope all is well, with all of you-Until next time
Peace
Jean
